Not the port but the band area sore from fill ?

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if your band area gets sore after a fill ? I had my first fill on friday and just under my rib cage where the band would be hurts if I slouch or mover wrong. I called the Dr and they said they hadnt heard of that happening but i would think it would be common after all it does move things a bit when the band inflates. I recieved 3ccs in a 10 cc band. Thanks for your thoughts Kim:)

The actual band is actually under the bottom of your sternum bone if I am right. Anyone else know?

No, my "band" doesn't ache after a fill. I feel a bit "bubbly" but doesn't ache. Call your doc maybe?

I am having the same problem. I have had a swelling in the same area to the left of the band. Mine has appeared about a few weeks ago with I had my band filled. The skin to the left of the band is swollen. I have been on antibiotics for a wk and still no change. I do not feel that this is an infection but it has been painful when I sit, bend or move. It almost feel as if something is poking me. I am going to see the Doctor on Friday of this week. They are suppose to do a scoping to the stomach to make sure everything is ok. I am eating and drinking ok with no acid refulx. To me looking into the stomach is strange when the problem is to the left of the band underneath the left breast. Please let me know more of your symptoms. My pants always seem to rub this area and it is uncomfortable. I have to always unzip my pants and button at the top of my pants. :help:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
