I don't know if tolerances are different with by pass because I had sleeve but for me I can't eat meatballs still and I was sleeved almost a month ago. Also most meatballs have a good amount of breadcrumbs in them so you may want to be careful with the carbs because it may cause dumping with the bypass.

I would absolutely make my own and give it a try. Ground beef can be tricky in those first few months following bypass. Sometimes depending on the meatball, I still struggle. They need to be pretty soft or they hurt my chest.

  • 1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork½ cup almond flour½ cup grated Parmesan cheese⅓ cup Water1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes¾ teaspoon garlic powder¾ teaspoon salt½ teaspoon dried oregano½ teaspoon onion powder¼ teaspoon fresh black pepper

I used the above recipe two nights ago and it was great! I did use ground beef but ground turkey would be an okay substitute. I froze the ones I wasn't intending on using right away.

I enjoyed them over some zoodles! It definitely satisfied any "Italian food" craving I may have had.

I can't have fried meatballs so now i bake them in the oven. Once they come out I blot them of any grease before I add them to my sauce. Yum

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
