Here is a fun topic, we can kind of go back in time and see where we were; Last Meal

Everyone of us at some point had a last meal. Be it the day before your pre-op diet began or whatever, there was some special meal we all ate prior to going under the knife.

Me? After an hour of deliberations, I had a small Chinese House Special Fried Rice and an order of chicken Fingers.

What did everyone else have?

2.5 weeks before surgery I had homemade carne asada nachos and 2 Crystal light margaritas with patron.

I had all of these grand plans for an epic last meal before the pre-op diet... a steak dinner, or some Texas bbq, or maybe some buffalo wings. Sadly, in the end my last meal was Taco Bell. It was fitting though as my former self was a fast food junkie, and probably ate Taco Bell 5+ times a week (including breakfast.) No more cheesy gordita crunches for my new (month old) self.

I had a red chili con carne burrito with sour cream, guac, chips, salsa, unsweetened ice tea and two bites of fried ice cream.

I made red chili the other night, it was really yummy. Even without the tortilla.

The weekend before I started my pre-op diet we went camping with my son's baseball team and I asked my mother in law to make monster Cookies (of course, I said they were for the team) and I ate and ate and ate cookies, ALL weekend! Though I did share with the team, I must have ate a dozen!

Mac an cheese. And I honestly don't miss it. It made me feel terrible.

I would love me some spaghetti right now tho! And dinner rolls!

I made a homemade German chocolate cake with a triple batch of warm homemade icing!! I ate that cake like a wild dog.

For my last meal i ate healthy not sure why but i just wanted to eat something good but healthy. I cooked chicken with green salsa and pinto beans with a glass of milk.

I didn't have a last meal. I was out of the country and went out to eat but it wasn't anything special! I look back and kind of wish I had done something special but also glad that I didn't feel the need to do it either!

pizza Hut pepperoni and cheese's lovers pizza, one of their humongous chocolate Cookies, and Coke Zero.

Haven't had any soda, pizza, bread, rice, fast food, candy, or anything else not on my specified post op diet since that day - three months ago. The further out I get, the easier the head hunger becomes.

Cheese enchilada and crunchy chicken taco with rice and beans. I had a margarita too.

I had a week of last meals before pre-op started! chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds, Chicken Lo-mein and crab ragoons, pizza and breadsticks.

I am looking at trying a lo-me in type recipe with spaghetti squash or zucchini zoodles. I miss Chinese flavors!
