So on Sunday I hit 5 mths post-op. Overall, it's going ok. I'm down 71 lbs total, 60 from my surgery date. Some days I can really feel the difference, other days not so much. I've always been a bit of a shopaholic - that has definitely been more fun lately. Although, after having shopped in the plus sizes for so long I'm still trying to find my way around "stylistically." I constantly worry about overeating and stretching my pouch. Some days I really have to be mindful and not allow myself to eat over 1 cup of food, and feeling like I could eat more. Other days, a 1/2 cup of whatever and I'm stuffed. Kinda weird. I wish that would stabilize a bit. I've been taking pics on the 11th of each month as a visual gauge for myself. This is something that I really need do to keep myself on track I think. While I see some difference, I would be lying if I said I didn't wish it was more noticeable.

The first pic on the left is me at my HW of 250 lbs, the middle pic is 3 mths out at about 195 lbs, and the one on the right is last night at my current weight of 179 lbs. I apologize for posting pics so often, lol.

Wishing everyone a great journey!

At your stage, if you have chosen to consume high Protein meals, your meal volume is sufficient for you to start cutting back on some of your Protein supplements (Protein shakes, protein bars). That will reduce your daily caloric intake and squeeze out a little more weight loss.

@@lsheshequin, you look great, what a difference in just 5 months. Your face looks so much thinner and compare your arm in the last two pictures - congratulations and keep up the good work!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
