I have lost 50 lbs since April 17 the date of surgery but I am struggling now I can't exercise due to a severe back issue and I'm not real active. I'm not losing much at all anymore. I eat chicken fish tuna veggies and some legumes. I use the plate the dr givw me to portion my food. Idk what else to do. What am.i doin wrong? I'm not eating much at all and to top it off I'm having a Constipation issue and it takes days for me to go and even then it's hard to do. I'm trying stool softener but it does t seem to be helping too good. I started flax seed a few days ago with no luck yet. Please help

I'm sorry to hear that. It does happen however, more than you would think. However, I lost my 60lbs in the first 18 mo. I had my band since 8-13. I stopped losing about year ago. I only have 3cc in my band.

I take plenty of RX's that are constipating and weight gainers. So I take a stool softener about three or so days a week. Plus getting in your Water is important.

You need to go back to your bariatric doctor and let him know of your walls that you are running into.

Do you have enough cc's?

I might go and get another couple cc's before the end of the year. It sounds like you're still fairly new at this. There are stops and starts. If you're eating the same foods, mix it up a little, or eat supper for Breakfast. Are you using oil, butter or the like to cook any of your meals in? Lean meats? Get more advice from other long timers with their bands. I'm sure there are many, many out there who would be happy to help. Good Luck Donna

Thank you yes I'm fairly new and i tend to stick to the same meals I take a stool softener and gas pills everyday. Plus a probiotic and digestive enzymes. Those two I just started a couple days ago. I will try and mix things up

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
