Isopure "mouth coating" fix?

Recommended Posts

I am a couple months out from surgery (not scheduled yet) but I am trying out different Protein Drinks to see what is out there and what is palatable, at least for now.

I've gotten some of the Isopure Zero Carbs (40g of protein!). The taste isn't too bad but i feel like they create a coating in my mouth. Any suggestions on how to lessen this feeling?

Thanks!

I love that stuff. Drank it right after I was cleared for liquids and I think that is why my energy level never dropped when I had restrictions on my eating. The residue always goes away when I take a swig of Water.

If you can handle the extra, can you dilute with Water? They are so sweet to me so I really need the dilution.

I made a mix with mine. 8oz of Isopure, 8oz of Powerade Zero - same color, and 8oz of Water. I drank 2 of those a day every day in the first few weeks.

I couldn't deal with the chalky feeling it left in my mouth.

I did what Kranky813 did - diluted it with a bit of Powerade zero. I just love the grape powerade. I do drink Isopure occasionally, but not as much as I used to.

Those drinks actually caused the "skin" of my mouth and throat to slough off. It was so funky. I drank them for three days then had to move on to something else.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
