So today I am 5 weeks post op. I have lost 25 pounds to date (including) pre op diet... The weight loss is slow but I don't mind that... My concern is I've noticed that the more weight I lose the darker my eyes get. They look like I have really bad bags under my eyes like I either did not sleep or I'm sick.. I look sickly!!! I get in all my Protein which is 75 grams, sometimes I do more. I get in about 64 oz of liquids so why do I look like this??? Anybody have any suggestions or answers??

Do NOT worry about any of this.

Your body is going to go through so many changes as you lose all your excess weight.

And then when you're through losing weight, your body will still keep changing. Some say for as long as a year after you've started maintaining.

There were so many times during my weight loss phases when I thought I looked awful. And then things would settle down, and I'd look better. Then worse. Then better.

This is sort of like getting a new haircut -- you just have to wait and see how it's going to look through all its phases.

:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
