Right after I had the surgery on Monday I started walking around the hospital doing laps with a couple of sleeve buddies I had made. We went through the whole process together. I knew I had to walk to help with the gas, but since I got home I haven't really been doing the walking and the pain from gas was almost unbearable so yesterday I walked around the block, and tonight I added light exercise to my weight-loss. I did some brisk walking for 2 miles and I have to tell you, it felt like a lot more than 2 miles. I'm sure I'll improve the more times I do it. I know I have to take it easy for at least a month, but the walking really helps and I know I won't get to where I need to be with only the surgery. The surgery was only a part of it. I have to do the other part.

Here's the route I took which strangely seemed up hill the whole way around.

Glad surgery went well. Every day will get easier with the walking!

The day after I got home from surgery I did the same thing,

started walking and I haven't stopped. I now run 5 miles a day.

Stick with it, the weight will start coming off and it won't

seem like your treading uphill.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
