Hey Raynie, and all the other pregnant ladies!!

it has been quite some time since I posted, I appologise! I am now 30 weeks today. My baby is growing, and kicking like crazy! I have gained 38 lbs already, and am devistated! I still have 10 weeks to go and this is usually when we gain the most! I thought after losing 113 lbs, I would not gain like this. I was completely de-filled but since had 3 fills to take me up to 5 ccs in my 10 cc band. I still feel like I can eat a whole lot of foods, like nothing is in my band at all. I was fortunate enough to not have any morning sickness at all. My only discomfort was severe acid indigestion/heartburn. I am finally out of that and just tired. I havent even started the nursery yet! LOL my parents are actually in the US right now looking for baby furniture for me. (as I am in Canada) and with our dollar at par.. it is WAYYY cheaper for us to get it all there. So in about 1.5 weeks I will know what "grandma and grandpa" have spoiled this baby with! :) Anyways, I am so sorry I havent posted in months! I wish each and every one of you the best in your pregnancy!

Hey all! I am 23 weeks now. She is kicking up a storm.

Raynie- i planned on getting a fill at 6 weeks. That is when they told me I could get filled back up. With my fill and breastfeeding I am hoping it will roll off me! We are also joining the YMCA this month so that will help too. MY 1 year lapband anniversay is coming up Dec 20th. It is hard b/c thought I would be like 180 by now but instead I am 255 and pregannt. Don't get me wrong, you all know I am estastic about the baby but it will be nice to lose again and feel fabulous. Feeling fabulous is what got me pregant in the first place!!!! HAHA!

Good morning all! It's good to see reports and that everyone is doing good. As far as fills, my surgeon said he didn't want to see me again until after I finished breastfeeding. I assume at that point, he will give me a fill. I plan on breastfeeding for up to 6 months so it will be a while for me.

hi girls

omg ...i was just using a pregnancy weight estimater calculator on babycentre(website)and it asks your weight when you concieved so had to find my first post which was this...

<HR style="COLOR: #e9e9e9" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->hi girls

great to see this thread i just found out im pregnant !

it very early days as i was only few days late but feeling queasy sore boobs etc and had feeling..it unplanned (this will be my fifth )i have 4 sons

andy 13, ben 10 (nearly 11) ,callum 7(nearly 8), aidan 3(4 in sept) and hubby is going for vasectomy..lol

this one kind of just sneaked in.

i know my clinic recommends unfill but i would like to wait as long as possible but as im already feeling so sick and been vomitting im terrified of band slipping i was banded last december and im 63 pound down 39 more to go im taking pregnancy multi Vitamin and making good food choices but im feeling so sickly, im not hungry but i doubt unfill would help as i would still feel nausious.im so glad im not alone on this .

good luck to all our bandsters babys and it will be wonderful to share our new journey.

big hugs nikki xclap2.gif

so working back i was 270 to begin with so i was 217lb when i wrote this and according to calculator i should gain 15lbs in the pregnancy

im now 20 weeks pregnant and weigh....180 lbs

ive lost 37lb since i found out i was pregnant!!!!!!!!!!

this is breakdown of how baby weight is supposed to work

How it breaks down

If you gained the average of range above, this is where the weight would go (totals are rounded):

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TH style="WIDTH: 30%">Maternal:</TH></TR><TR><TD class=dividerBorder>Uterus</TD><TD class=dividerBorder>0.79 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TD>Breasts</TD><TD>0.33 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TD>Blood</TD><TD>1.03 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TD>Water</TD><TD>1.38 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TD>Fat</TD><TD>2.75 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=dividerBorder style="FONT-STYLE: italic">Subtotal</TD><TD class=dividerBorder style="FONT-STYLE: italic">6.28 lbs.</TD></TR><TR><TH>

Source: ACOG. The formula is based on your current size and weight and whether you are underweight, overweight, or normal weight.

im going for antenatal this week ..baby kicking like mad and feels so strong so im not overly concerned but it does make me worry a little ...

what you all think should i consider myself lucky ??? or be concerned .

I hate you Nikki- is all I have to say.... pfft. :) I wish I lost 27 pounds. Geez! Yeah, I would say LUCKY! hehe

Dooney- I love your baby tracker! Thats so cool!

Bex- you sound right on track!

rn - lol my delete button just broke- time for a new keyboard?

So i go in to the doc this morning. I am scarred. My scale says I gained a hell of a lot of weight. And what sucks is- my scale was way off then the doctora scale. I might faint once I get weighed in. I hate the fact that the weigh in is first then they take your blood pressure. Why do they torture me?

Soooo ..... heha talk about depression.

I will take pictures once the room is finished. My hubby is such a comic fan its ridiculoyus- my delete wont work so I have typos in this. Sorrl lol. Damn I did it again! I hope the room to be done by Feb. i am ordering a Batman Murial- it will take up one wall! Its gorgeous. My hubby wants to paint a Batman Logo on the ceiling where the crib will be! This room will rock!

Alright preggo momies- have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And have a happy shopping day on Friday. I wish I knew if it was bot- did it again- a boy or girl so I can go shopping. heha oh well. See you all soon!

Hey Nikki,

I suffered really bad with heartburn/stomach acid. My doctor told me to cut out chocolate and chocolate milk (that is all I drink, cant stand the taste of milk) orange juice and tomato/juice. I was drinking Malox like it was milk for a while there! The minute I stopped the above I have not had any sypmtoms of heartburn or acid since! Hope that helps some!

As for tired.. I STILL am tired! I am a tummy sleeper and of course this not being able to sleep on my tummy sucks, and not to mention the fact that this baby loves to be awake most of the night I swear! I know I wont be sleeping much those first few weeks!

My biggest issue now is constipation! I have had two different prescriptions, a supository, and senekot, STILL NO BM! I just got the 2nd prescription yesterday so I am going to give it one more day to work and if not.. this weekend I am going to go to hospital for the dreaded ENEMA!! I am in so much pain!

Hope everyone is doing great!

Candice

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

      2. Selina333

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

      3. Doughgurl

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
