Speaking of extra skin. Has anyone given any thought to plastic surgery later on. I know I am. I had a full Tummy Tuck when I lost weight with the lap band. Loved it. Now when I get down to where I want to be I will do my thighs, arms and a breast lift. I know it doesn't bother some people. I didn't think it would me but I was so wrong. It bothers me just as bad as be I lost weight. My insurance covered all of my tummy tuck, minus my deductible. They will cover the rest as well. What are you all thinking.

I am definitely going to get everything cut off! I've only lost 88 or so pounds so far and my body looks like it is melting! I have heard that you need to maintain your weight for a minimum of 6 months before even considering surgery. So I am saving my pennies.

My insurance will only cover it once and my bmi has to be under 30. Of course you have to have a certain amount of skin. But there is no set time that you have to maintain. For sure I will wait till I am at goal. No reason to do it and keep loosing and have to do it again. ???? but I can't wait.

As of today I am 3.5 months out and have lost 65lbs. SW 283 today's weight 218. I am closing in on onederland. For those reading this thinking of getting sleeved or about to... It's going to be a great ride. You DO have to workout and do your part it's not a easy fix. God bless all of you even the Roll Tide people. Amanda you have been a blessing to me.

Peace out

3 month visit went well. I'm solidly in onederland, even with the doctors scale that's always about 6lbs heavier than my home scale. All my follow up bloodwork was amazingly improved on everything they measured. My doctor couldn't stop grinning. Feeling amazing

@@catlynk Let us know how it went!

I had set a goal to be 229 on the doctor's scale but missed it by 2 pounds. Overall I've lost 35 pounds since surgery so I'm happy with that.

My new goal is to be below 215 by spring break when I go to Hawaii????

We are all rocking it. I am 15 weeks out and down 41.6 pounds. Super happy. Much better experience then I had with the lap band. Don't get me wrong, I still lost a bunch of weight, but all the problems I had was almost not worth it. I was so nervous about doing the sleeve. I did not want to deal with all the issues. No need to worry. I have had no problems. I love and need all the support from all my weight loss surgery family, you guys. Thanks for always being here. Oh , RG thanks for the roll tide shout out.????

My surgery was 15 weeks and 2 days ago. Sometimes the progress feels sluggish but when I look at the big picture I see that I am down over 50 since I walked into my surgeons office last May, and almost 70 since, my all time high weight.

I finally have the courage to get rid of clothes and while I'm not dressing that differently yet, I actually feel that I look cute in jeans or leggings and a sweater, rather than like a sausage. :) ,

People are noticing. I don't give an answer when they ask 'how much have you lost' because to me this is very personal. I just say thank you and yes I've lost quite a bit.

It's like I don't want to reveal just how out of control I had become. How do others feel about this?

Let's get a shout out from everyone. Let's give our high weight, surgery weight, current weight. (And BMI) I noticed that a good portion of us are either under 35 BMI or pretty close. (Meaning that we officially WOULDN'T qualify for WLS if we tried now. :D ) List one thing that you wish you knew before the surgery and one thing that surprised you.

HW 286 (BMI 52)

SW 218

CW 196.5 (BMI 35.9)

Surgery- You spend months and months obsessing about it. Then it happens and it is just a "blip" on the radar screen.

Surprise- I feel fantastic and it doesn't seem like a very big deal now. I am also surprised how little I need to eat to actually survive! (and still feel energetic).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
