Many on BP have said 30 days post-op, they were released to light weighted exercises.

I too was okayed at 30 days for weight training.

I never really got into a regular weight training program.

I've stuck to walking as my primary exercise program.

I was told 60 days, but you should ask your surgeon.

For the first month I did only walking. 6 weeks I started doing the treadmill with an incline. It wasn't until 8 weeks that I started to do weights and start doing core work. Start slowly as your really not getting a lot of calories so even burning 200-250 is probably half your daily intake.

Good luck-

30 days before light weights. Start slow, go up no more than 10% per week, and increase your Protein as you go. I noticed hair loss as I started getting into heavier weights two months post opp. So I started shooting for 100g daily and 180 on days with big workouts.

Depends on your healing and your doctor's protocols. I was okay'd for light weights (10lbs) at 2 weeks and could resume regular aerobic core workouts at 3.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
