Good afternoon so one day i went to the doctor office and i was 297 lbs. I became depressed because i don't know how i allowed myself to gain so much weight. I stop going out because i felt ugly and i felt that bigger people was looking at me with disgust. I felt that heavier people like to make people feel bigger in order to draw attention from themselve. i tried weight watcher's, walking and change in diet, i lost and gain back. I did not tell anyone about my choice to have surgery in order to avoid everyone opinions. I had the surgery july, 6 2015 and so far i lost 31lbs and a lot of friends weird. Can someone tell how was the first six months please?

My 1st 6 months was primarily about getting into good habits:

*Learning to choose the right foods

*Sticking with my diet guidelines - 75% Protein, 25% good carbs

*Getting into a regular exercise routine - for me it was walking

*Learning to have faith that WLS was going to work for me. I hit a stall about once every month, and it freaked me out each time. I had to learn to have confidence that what worked before would keep on working. My body just needed a time-out to adjust to this new way of life.
I think those are the biggies. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
