NYC/LI/Tri-state area face to face Support Group Meeting

Recommended Posts

Well my friends....Labor Day is over and gone and even though it's still hot out, the summer is surely going to be on the wane soon. School has started and it's time for renewing friendships and thinking about those crisp early mornings and the colors of Fall...blazing reds, golden yellows, and sunshiney oranges.

In anticipation of the season, the next NYC/LI chapter F2F Support Group Meeting is going to be on October 17th from 2PM till 4 PM

We will be meeting at The Atrium at 805 Third Avenue.

The building is on Third Ave between 49th and 50th Streets.

The Atrium is at the back of the space on the lower level past the shops.

We are looking forward to seeing many of our forum friends there for a fun filled afternoon. We hope to share a bit of information, education, and ultimately support with our friends!!!

So mark your calendars today forum friends and make plans to spend a beautiful Autumn afternoon in NYC.

If any Jersey friends want to attend, please feel free to cross the Hudson and join us.

My visits to BariatricPal are very rare, as I'm a poor navigator. I just posted, however, a notice of the next Greater New York Bariatric Surgery Clothing Exchange (October 22). I'm so glad I did, or I wouldn't have made my way to this notice for the October 17 Face to Face meeting. It's now engraved on my calendar.

Since the Face to Face is for our area, I hope I'm not out of bounds with the following link to the clothing exchange info?

If you plan on being at Saturday's meeting and travel Manhattan streets (bus, taxi, bike or other), give yourself some extra travel time. There will be street closings for the Avon Walk. The Walk's website probably provides details on the street closings and times.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
