Starting pre-op on 9/13/15

Recommended Posts

Hi all sirgery is scheduled for 9/28/15 so I am starting my pre-op diet on 9/13/15. This is really going to happen!! Does anyone have any advice about the pre-op diet? I am upset with myself because I have veered off my healthy eating so now I have to do a carb cleanse again, not looking forward to it.

Hi.. I'm on my liquid diet... now... OMG... It is really all a mental state of mind.. That's what I keep telling myself... My surgery date is Thursday, Sept. 17... I think the hardest part is, still having a family that I have to cook for... We can do this!!! We have to focus on how our surgery.. and how bad we really want this... Good luck!!

get all bad food out of your house! And use any of your "fun fund" money that you may previously have used on fast food or junk food to go see a movie or something fun that is non-food related. :) Good luck!

My surgery is also the 28th. Very excited but starting to get nervous. My goal this week is to start my deep clean of my house and enjoy some of my favorite foods and drinks. Not planning on going all out but will definitely be having some favorites! Enjoy your last week before the pre-op diet!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
