I was allowed cottage cheese at four weeks post-op. Every plan is different though, and mine was pretty conservative.

I am not sure what you mean about without a NUT.

Do you have a written post-op food plan?

For my program, cottage cheese and yogurt were included in my full liquid phase.

I thought NUT was  nutritionist. I do have my written plan. However, cottage cheese isn't on the post op side.

I was just wondering. ^_^

NUT is nutritionist. I was just unclear why you would only have one for the full liquid phase. Doesn't your NUT and surgeon provide you with post-op care?

I think under most plans you can have cottage cheese whenever you can have yogurt. They seem to go together. Cottage cheese is a great post-wls food, enjoy! It's actually really good mixed with a tablespoon or two of PB2. I know that might sound strange, but it is good! I also like it with salsa or harissa or other spicy sauces.< /p>

Wow, you need to call your surgeons office right away! I can't believe they gave you no post-op nutritional information. There has to be someone you can talk to. Lots of plans don't allow it by day 9, but the ones they do, come with specific instructions, and you don't have those.

Be careful eating something because someone else said they can have it, because they may have special rules about eating it. For example, I can have cottage cheese, but I'm allowed 3 mini meals of soft Protein, 1-2 oz max per day, spaced out and with Protein drinks. That piece is important... I can't just have it, however, whenever I wanted.

For me cottage cheese was considered a puree, which I couldn't have until 2 weeks out. I could have yogurt on full liquids right after surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
