Taking pills

Recommended Posts

I am almost 4 months post-op and wanted to ask if it is ok to take pills without crushing them.. I need to take a pill but the size of it is 3/4 inch. Do not know if that is too big or if it is ok to take.

I'm not advised to have pills until month 4 either. I'd be happy to wait till month 6.

I was allowed to take my really tiny pills (omeprazole and birth control) immediately post-op. I was taking all my pills of various sizes at 7 days post-op... including my big honking Calcium pills.

I had heart complications when I had my surgery and had to take horse pills that could NOT be crushed. Wasn't easy, filled me up, but I was able to take them as prescribed...

I was cleared for ANY pills, capsules, gel caps etc... one month post surgery. I've been off bariatric Vitamins and back on Silver Centrum since 9/1. I couldn't stand taking the baritrak vits (mixed with 8oz of Water downed in 15 minutes), or the chewable ones, they didn't make me sick, they were just disgusting.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
