Everytime I sip on protein now

Recommended Posts

It is so hard to get these shakes down ... I'm having a heck of a time. The taste and smell gag me. I'm

gonna kick it up a notch and add some flavoring tomorrow ...

Yup I've also become lacrosse or milk Protein intolerant. Sipping a Protein shake made it sound like fireworks going off inside. I had a small Greek yogurt today and promptly had my my first dumping experience. On the upside I had not been for 6 days so it cleared me out lol.

Tried a tiny bit of cheese melted in my refried Beans and again no good. So yip looks like I have to give up all things dairy for a while. Which I'm gutted about as I was relying on them to get me through!

I had the same problem after surgery! I suffered from lactose intolerance as a kid, and it came back full force after my surgery. Every Protein drink/powder seemed to make me nauseous, and anything with lactose gave me dumping syndrome.

I use "Fairlife Milk." It is an ultra-filtered milk that removes lactose AND most excess sugar. Then, it is fortified with additional Protein and Calcium. A protein shake netted me 30g of protein, but with fairlife I could still get to 18g with the same amount, so it helped me get closer to my protein goal.

Best part is, I can add a little PB2, sugar free strawberry Syrup, sugar free chocolate syrup, or diet hot cocoa mix depending on how I feel.

I'll be six weeks out tomorrow, and it's still my main source of protein.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
