I had my surgery on Monday August 3rd. Wow I feel like I got my a$$ beat lol it's so painful this time around. I remember back in 2012 for lap band I got up from my bed as soon as they got me to my room and felt fine, this time around it took me 3 days to get rid of the groggy feeling from anesthesia and the pain where my port was is unreal every time I stand I see stars. Wonder if it has to do with the robotic assistance any ways kinda of glad it's over wouldn't want to do that again..

Believe it or not, it does get better.

My husband kept reminding me that I'm not 20 anymore. I don't remember my C-sections being so painful. The first week was the worst but then I figured out that my husband was giving me 1 pain pill every 4 hours and the script called for 2 every 4 hours. I didn't see the actual bottle until the 2nd week when he went back to work. I told him he was fired as my caregiver.

When I came back to work at one month my BFF asked me if I'm glad I did it. I told her to ask me again at 2 months. But 4 months out, I am happy and glad I did it.

Hang in there Jackie and Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
