I've told a few friends and family members. My husband of course, my best friend and like 3 other friends. My mom, stepdad and sister, and my cousins soon to be ex wife because she had bypass done in Feb. I don't feel the need to tell everyone just yet. I'm also a stay at home mom also so no co workers ;)

I'm pre-op, but I first discussed it with a co-worker who had the VGS. He had surgery in april and had already lost 60lbs in 3 months. I talked with him about it and he encouraged me to check it out. After contemplating it, I discussed it with my husband and sister, who are both very supportive. I was worried how my husband would react being that he's pretty much a gym rat, going to the gym everyday. But he was very supportive and said he was behind anything that made me happy. ^_^ I told one other co-worker who I've worked with for the last 9 years. I was hesitant of telling my stepmom because she can be so judgemental (always gave me crap as a kid about being overweight) but I told her anyways. I wish I could tell my dad but he's suffering thru brain cancer and may not even know what I'm talking about. Those are pretty much the only the folks I plan on telling right now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
