I'm 2 weeks and 3 days post op I have had no complications so far, but last night I started having left shoulder pain. It is a throbbing pain, I read it can be one of the symptoms of a leak, and now I'm terrified that's what it is. Should I be scared? What could it be?

If I were you I'd check with your doctor, better to be safe than sorry. I know I use to get that in the very beginning, but only when I was walking. I talked to my doc, and he didn't seemed concerned and now I'm 3 months out (14 weeks). But still consult with doc and see what they say. Best of luck to you!

Call your surgeon. May very well be nothing but only medical professionals can figure that out for sure, not internet strangers.

My doctor said that left shoulder pain indicates trapped gas. Keep walking around!

I had it in my right shoulder really, really bad. Turns out I strained it because I was using my arms to push myself up off the couch and the toilet. I'm right handed so I was using my dominant arm more.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
