Is that new leg hair?

Recommended Posts

A few years ago before my surgery I noticed less leg hair around my ankles. It looked like it was happening where my socks were, so I didn't think much about it. Shortly before I had surgery someone pointed out that my feet were changing colors when I was standing outside barefoot. I looked it up, looked like poor blood circulation.

After the weight-loss and working out, the foot discoloration stopped. But this week I noticed I'm getting my leg hairs are back. ;-) I think that is a good thing, but has anyone else experienced this?

No, but I agree with you that it sounds like a good thing.

Sounds like your circulation is improving. Also loosing fat and exercising more tend to increase testosterone levels (in men at least), which usually leads to more body hair.

Thanks DavidK - probably why I am getting my back waxed.

Kidding - I'm waxing so I don't gross out women. ;-)

Yes sir. most assuredly I have. My lower legs ( shins) were discolored and my legs were hairless from the knee down due to poor blood flow ( venous stasis) my feet and lower legs would swell up badly in the daytime and i had to wear extremely loose, diabetic socks. But since i have lost as much as i have one day my wife said to me, hey your legs are all hairy again! Yes the discoloration will never go away completely, but man having legs that look like mine should, is another little side effect plus, that shows that this is all worthwhile.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
