Cheater

So I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow and we went out for lunch and my favorite place didn't have my French onion soup that I usually get just the broth. They had a creamy rice and I tried hard to not get any chunks. With that said my family got pizza and not even thinking I took a big bite and then my husband said what are you doing as I swallowed...will I be ok tomorrow if I didn't do my full liquid diet today?!? Help!

Thanks everyone. I'm super nervous as the time ticks closer:(

I'm on pre-op diet too. 14 days of total liquids. It's so tough but I see such variations in pre-op diets that I'm sure you are fine.

What time did you stop eating today? The liquid diet is a matter of preference that varies doctor to doctor. However when stop eating the day before surgery is important because that food may still be in your stomach/system being digested. That can sometimes cause problems. They will likely review with your last time you ate/drank anything. Be honest with them.

You will be fine...I cheated and had a lot more than that and my surgery was beyond textbook....did so well...please don't worry about it! :)

I'm six days way form my surgery and my church is having this big anniversary potluck... I also have to bring a potato salad and I'm so worried I'm going to pig out I feel like skipping it ????
