  1. I could see early on that this was in no way easy. When I was referred many months ago... I was so offended. I thought please I don't need this! Denial! Then I went to the seminar and the NUT appointments just for information. Truth is I've spent my whole life fat and don't know any other way. I am excited to see what and how my life will change. Don't get me wrong, I have made lots of little changes that NUT recommended. 4 weeks out... How are you feeling? Any surprises? I have fear of the unknown. me too. We will get through this journey successfully you just wait and see.

  5. I'm right there with you. Although I have made an appt to see my second surgeon. My first surgeon I'm sure is an awesome doctor but his office staff cannot reply to my emails for 3 wks and when they do it very vague. And that doesn't give me warm fuzzies. My fear is anathesia. But I'm moving forward one step at a time.
  6. Because Jesus first forgave us therefore we must also forgive.

  17. Sleeve_Getter I too am hoping for a October surgery date. I'm 5'7" 300lbs. I've had weight issues my entire life. I was able to keep weight down a bit when I played softball and was a single momma. But since 1998 I have put on 120 lbs. I've had anxiety / panic issues but are pretty much resolved until I realized I'm very apprehensive about General anathesia (sp) that not being in control deal. But I'm also over 50 now with 5 beautiful grandbabies that I'm very involved with. But I have image issues and knee pain. My story is like many others. Just gotta Let Go and Let God......hope we can keep in touch.

  21. Hey all. I too am tentatively scheduled for October surgery. I'm older than you are but would love to have Ya hold my hand through this. I'm biggest deal is the anathesia. I'm even nervous about having the EGD. It's the meds I'm one that doesn't like my mental state to be altered. Any advise????
