TX Buddy

I have my band to sleeve revision on Aug 11. I would love a friend or someone to chat with that I can give and get moral support, share ideas, etc. My family is supporting me but I want somebody who really understands what I am going thru.

I'm doing mine on Monday. I am very anxious and becoming emotioanl from the stress. I've been miserable with the band for 10 years now. But I want my life back so badly. I haven't worn a pair of shorts since 2005, and I live on the Texas coast!! It's HOT outside and I miss out on so many things because it's too hot to hide in long sleeves and jeans. While the devil puts the doubt in my head that this wil fail too, I am ready to prove him wrong.

I'm in the DFW area as well and am open to chat.... I don't get my sleeve until December but I am trying to lose 30 lbs before my procedure

You are worth it. You deserve to be happier and healthier. I'm in Houston area. Hugs to you all.

Hey samskiles. I'm also going to the nicholson clinic with Dr carlton. My surgery is July 27th. I live in plano. And would love to have a sleeve buddy.

Good luck, learn as much as you can prior to sleeve, learn how to sip your drinks and ween yourself away now from caffeine and soda, exercising prior to surgery is also beneficial, light circuit training works, and don't be afraid to ask your surgeon anything, you need to comfortable with them, I had mine on June 10th in San Antonio and I am making great strides, inbox me if you need anything, but on some questions it is best if you are told to ask your surgeon since a lot of the regimens vary, like diets, protein intake, and post op diets, this is your journey and it is much easier with the right support!!!!!! See you on the loser's side
