My Texas Sleevers
My hubby is from orange and has lots of family down there. I go to Beaumont every Tuesday (not today) for my Mary Kay meetings.

Still not feeling better about this at 6 weeks out and that may never change. I'm just dealing with it because I don't have any choice but to. And I didn't say anything to scare people, only to be honest so they know some of the things no one wants to tell u before hand. I wasn't told a lot of things, things that would've made me change my mind. I still say I'd rather be fat and happy every day! It is what it is....

Reality Check Please
This is the problem I'm having. I don't feel I'm doing well enough and can't see the progress. No matter what old pics I look at or clothes I wear I see that its different but I don't SEE the difference in real time and I don't feel it either. VSG 6/15/15 WL 28 LBS

Suggestions needed, ex smoker having urges to puff
I quit smoking over 2 years ago. I've been having an urge to smoke for about a week now and its getting harder to say no. I don't necessarily want a cigarette, I keep looking at the electronic hookahs that don't have tar or nicotine. I just want the motion I guess. Any suggestions how to get my mind off this?

I was ok'd early too because I got extremely depressed on the liquids in week 2 because it hurt every time I ate or drank.

This is supposedly normal. Its got something to do with the swelling and the trauma of the surgery. It takes a few weeks to heal so its sensitive. Mine hurt for at least 3-4 weeks. And at 8 days out u shouldn't be eating anything but liquids and liquid consistency anyway I believe.

Post-op day 2 and regretting
The largest incision (usually 2nd under left breast) is where they bring the stomach out and it can hurt for up to 4 weeks or so. I had to wear an abdominal binder for weeks 2-4 almost 24 hrs a day. I still do if I stretch too much. Not sure if they did things different for ur surgery or if this is a different issue but that's my experience.

You're not supposed to but ur also not supposed to drink caffeine, eat pasta, rice or bread or stuff with sugar along with a bunch of other things many people try it to see if they can handle it and if they can they do. Not recommended tho.

I still had to go thru appointments with psych( which was pointless)and nutritionist and stress test and seminar but I did all that pretty much in 2 days. I only had 45 days from start to finish.
