  1. My revision was one in 2 surgeries too. That's the only way my doctor will do it now. He used to do it in one surgery, but he said the chances of a leak are a lot higher (but like you said, still low) with one surgery. I had my band out in March but because of some other things that came up am just having sleeve surgery tomorrow. I hope that by waiting 5 months my stomach will be well healed and that I'll get a nice tight little sleeve.
  2. My surgeon sells Celebrate and the NUT gave me a sample. It is pretty strong tasting. Not bad, but I can see where I'd get tired of them quickly. Thinking I'll try the ones from Unjury since I like their other products. The NUT specifically said no OTC (even mentioned Flintstones).
  3. My NUT said I will have to take bariatric vitamins forever. I'm fine with that, but just wondered what type everyone is using.
  4. GNC, Vitamin Shop, Quest.com, Amazon Thanks! I hope they sell them individually so I can try different ones without buying a big pack. Don't you hate that? I don't want to buy 18 of them if I don't know if I'll like them.
  5. Where do you get Quest bars?
  6. Hi BethC. I can't open the page either. Can you add me please? I'm Stacey Jarvis on fb.Thanks for doing this! Stacey there are a lot of people with your name. Can you send me a friend request
  7. I started my pre-op diet today and someone at work ordered pizza. One of my weaknesses.... But I drank my protein shake and tried to ignore the smell.
  8. I'm in Fort Worth. Who is your doc?
  9. Hi BethC. I can't open the page either. Can you add me please? I'm Stacey Jarvis on fb. Thanks for doing this!
  10. Yes, my surgery is Aug 3 too! I'm in Fort Worth and having surgery with Adam Smith. You?
  11. I'd love to have a fb page where we can all talk and compare our experiences.
  12. I'm right there with you! I start my two week diet tomorrow too. I'm nervous and excited. I'm starting my journal tonight for this journey and plan to weigh in the morning. This is so exciting!
  13. Are you still considered a revision if you have two surgeries several months apart?
  14. I'm planning on two weeks but will take longer if I need to.
  15. Hi! My surgery is scheduled for August 3rd so we'll be on the journey at about the same time. ????
  16. Hello fellow August sleevers!! My surgery is scheduled for August 3rd. I have one more week to eat everything on my bucket list and to drink Coke. Then I start my liquid diet and the beginning to my new healthy life! I am not going to mourn food since I'll still be able to eat my favorites-just in much smaller portions. But I'm going to embrace a new healthy lifestyle and this tool that will help me achieve it.
  17. He's awesome even if he is an OU fan.... I accidentally wore my UT shirt to an appointment and I thought he was not going to see me. LOL
  18. Who was your surgeon? Mine is Adam Smith.
  19. Fort Worth here! My surgery is August 3rd. Starting the pre-op diet in another week. Ready to get this show on the road.....
  20. This is what I've been told too. Years ago when I had the beginning of an ulcer, the doctor took me off of caffeine because it's very hard on your stomach.
  21. We are very similar! I hope I'm there quickly! I'm tired of jeans cutting into my middle. I have read that my metabolism is probably going to slow down my loss because I was banded before. I hope not!
  22. Congratulations on your success! I can't wait to be where you are on my journey.
  23. EWWW Anytime I get up from the table my 6 year old son says "Are you going to throw up?". I'm so done with that part of my life.
  24. Thanks! I take 9 pills every night so I may be up for an hour just taking them slowly! LOL It would be good if my doc took me off some after surgery.
