I'm October too!!! I had a 12 month insurance program ????. I meet with my surgeon again at the end of this month and will get my date. I will also find out what pre-op testing I need and get that all set up. I know I will have nutritional appointments, plus some tests. I already have my psychology appointment set up for August 3. I will meet with my surgeon again one week before the surgery. After completing monthly phone calls since September 2014---I'm sooo ready! It's exciting to see posts about October sleeves and know I'm finally going to be one of those people!!!!

Thought I'd join in and introduce myself as well. I'm 36 and have 3 kids. I'm hoping to be sleeved by the end of September start of October. I've been very heavy all my life so it's time to finally take full control of this and lose this weight. I went to the dr this past week and did the initial meetings with insurance specialist, dietician, nurse, and surgeon. I don't think things could have went better, the dr said I'm a perfect candidate for this surgery and I'll have almost no cost out of pocket. I have been doing weight watchers for several months so my primary dr is ready to sign off the six month diet requirement. The surgeon asked what my goal for this was and I told him I just want to see my weight start with a 1, I don't care if it's 199.9 and he laughed and said his goal for me is about 165 and he sees no problem with me being able to get there as long as I stick to what I'm supposed to do. I'm truly excited and all I have to do now is meet with the nut, do the psyc eval and attend one support group. I am scheduled to do all of those on August 12 th then we can submit the insurance approval. I'm very excited and feel so blessed to have this opportunity.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
