Nine months post op...how's everyone?

Recommended Posts

Hello my fellow September 2014 WLS folks! Let's talk progress.....

HW - 323

SW - 297

CW - 207

Total lost - 116 lbs! I started at a size 26 and I'm currently a size 14 (in "regular non-plus size" stores).

I am totally happy with my weight loss, but I can't wait to hit ONEderland! I had set a goal of being under 200 by my 40th birthday and I am not sure I am going to make it (I only have 4 days to go)! UGH... I know that I will get the soon, I'm just a bit disappointed ???? I just need to kick up my cardio and strength training!

How's everyone else?

Hi there!

I had my bypass on Sept. 26,2014

HW - 315

SW - 310

CW - 199

I hit Onederland last Monday and have been bouncing back and forth between 199 and 200 all week. I am looking forward to getting another 5 lbs down so I never have to look at that 200 number again.

I am recuperating from a serious spine surgery so I am on restriction from anything but walking and am up to a little over a mile a day until I can't take it anymore. Hopefully I will be able to extend to more this week. It's kind of a bummer because I was doing an hour of cardio every day prior to this little set back. Makes me feel like I am back to 310lbs, I get so tired and sore. However, I will not let it get the best of me.

I have 34 lbs to go to get to goal and I can see that light coming closer all the time!

Having this bypass gave me my life back! And other than my spine I am the healthiest I have been since my mid 20's! No more comorbitities!

Woot, woot!

@@Djmohr - great job!! You and I have lost the same amount of weight! I totally agree with wanting to be as far away from 200 as possible! My ultimate goal is to be less than 160lbs. I think that for me height, I'm supposed to be 135lbs (ha ha)!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
