Welcome! I just had my surgery June 12th and feel good. It has not been nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. I go to counseling and have read books that have really helped me know what to expect. I have stayed positive. I have focused on the prize at the end rather then what I can't have right now. I also tell myself I will be "normal" one day and that means anything in moderation. Losing weight during the pre op program has been fun and had made me look forward to losing more. I made a list of all the things I want to do that are more either hard for me or I can't /won't do because if my weight. It keeps me motivated. I also wrote a letter to myself, which I shared with my family, about what my life is like right now so when I start to forget I can read my own words. Just some thoughts. Good luck, make sure you are doing it for yourself and that you only surround yourself with people who support you.

Hello linedancer718... I had surgery almost 2 1/2 yrs ago... I just don't have any support. My doctor changed insurance companies so left me right after surgery. My husband doesn't understand why I'm down & unhappy. I've lost 160 pounds already. Frankly I don't understand either.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
