I had food funerals. I ate like a piglet for about 3 weeks before my liqiud/puree diet kicked in. My surgery is July 22 and now im eating better.

food funerals were what led me here to start with.

So many times I'd have a big blowout so I could start another diet.

Then another...

Then another.

Nope, this time I'm going to do this according to the plan that will get me to the surgery date with the best results possible.

I'm done with sabotaging my health.

I have done 2 things that have been helpful to me:

1. Write a dear John letter to food telling it all the reasons you are giving it up.

2. Writing about about my funeral as a result of eating myself to death.

(Not to say I haven't had food funerals. I'm just trying to keep a detailed record of why this is so important to me. I'm also writing a log about all the ways weight has hurt my life - unbelievably long list that I keep adding to. Never want to forget these feelings. I've lost 100 pounds in the past and forgot and went back to my abusive lover - food!) Now 150 pounds later, I hope and pray I can get my head in the place it needs to be to be successful long term with this. Choosing Hope!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
