First good day.

I was sleeved on 6/11. Pretty miserable since. Today is better. Gas pain much less. I'm getting Protein and Water in. Not easy. My surgeon's PA tells me that my 13 year old Type 2 diabetes "appears to be resolved." !maybe this won't be so bad.

Don't worry, it gets much better and quickly! I found mixing 20 oz of Water with 2 packets of indiviual serve Crystal Lite or other flavorings and then throwing in a scoop of natural or vanilla Protein Powder in a water bottle tastes like lemon mirangue pie. This gives you 20 oz water, 20 grams Protein and 60 cals.

It really does get better every day. Time drags out so slowly in the early days, but in a few weeks, you will be feeling MUCH better and in a few months you will feel completely "normal".

It will get better trust me! I am post op day 10 and feeling awesome. Back to work and I am a nurse so it is pretty crazy. Up until day 3 I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Gas pains were unbearable!! Go to cvs and buy chewable simethicone- it really made things much better for me and got rid of the discomfort.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
