How long does a fill take

Recommended Posts

How long does a fill take? Were you able to go back to work the day or the day after?

I ask because I'm using my week vacation to get banded. I want to go back to work within the week time frame (I sit at a desk all day) because I have no sick days or personal days so anytime off work after my banding will be unpaid.

Thank you.

My doctor does fills at the hospital,so I have to go through the outpatitent processing, then down to the x-ray dept. The fill(adjustment) takes less than 10 min. I am free to go about regular activities, liquid only on the day of fill, mushies the day after, then back to regular foods.

Every experience is different I'm sure. The fill itself takes less than 15 minutes. However..... at my docs office I end up waiting around for at least an hour to see him.. :phanvan I always go late in the afternoon and by then he is a bit behind (to say the least). I'm sure if you tell them your situation they would do anything possible to move you along.

Aside from being back on mushies for 48 hours, I can return to all my normal activities. ;)

A fill only takes a few minutes. It depends on if your surgeon is running on time or not. I would give yourself 30-60 minutes for a fill. Mine usually only takes 15 if he is running on time. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
