June 15th, anyone?

I'm getting sleeved on June 15th and I was just wondering if any one else is as well? Or around June 15th?

I started my preop diet today, I'm doing well with it so far... I think because I'm SO excited that this is actually happening! We will see how I feel next week haha.

Does everyone have a similar preop diet or is it different with each surgeon?

:)

Hi. My first post! I'm on for 6/15 Too. I'm so ready. Our pre-op diet is 1000 calories/day. I do a protein shake for bkfst, salad for lunch, yogurt or broth for dinner. After day 3 it's been good. Myfitnesspal is the key for me. I enter everything! Had my last appt last Friday, final physical, nutrition class. Good luck to everyone and THANK YOU to all who post- I really appreciate all the information, honesty, advice, etc.

I am June 16th. Day 9 of pre-op diet here. I am thankful for my pre-op diet. 30-40 carbs a day and no more than 1400 calories. Nothing but liquids after 6 pm the night before surgery and nothing after midnight that same day. I just keep reminding myself it's only temporary and I can do this.

My surgery date is June 15th as well. My preop diet consists of 1000 calories a day for 8 days prior to surgery and the last three are clear liquids. I am doing OK with the preop diet, not perfect of course. It's really hard! Especially working in a school and there are so many celebrations this last week before summer! But I am going to rock out the clear liquid diet! I hope!

I am feeling excited but I become a little more nevous each day. I am not nervous for the procedure but for the recovery. I just dont know how I am going to feel. My mother in law has offered to come and stay with me since my husband works and my mom is disabled. The closer it gets, the more I regret telling people. I have one friend (also over weight) who is really giving me a hard time. She is just so opinionated. If I were getting a new set of boobs I don't think anyone would have very much to say about it. People are just annoying. Just had to vent.

Good luck to everyone! Looking forward to seeing your progress!

I love reading everyone's posts, June 17th here. Getting so very excited and nervous too. I HAVE hardly told anyone because I don't want to hear their opinions..lol

I'm getting so nervous.... Less then two days left! I will be checking in at the hospital at six am surgery at seven.

I've told a total of four people what Im doing. I live in a very small community so I am sure there will be alot of talk. Was debating on just making a public post on Facebook.... But I think I'll just let em guess.

Good luck to the rest of you June 15th sleevers!

June 15th surgery date also! I am sooooo ready. My preop diet was lean proteins, eggs, butter/olive oil, and fresh vegetables for two weeks. The last three days are only liquids. Good luck everyone!! See yall on the other side

How did you get so lucky... I wish my pre op looked that good... liquids for 2 plus weeks with only certain veggies... and three day liquid right before.

June 26 here. I started my pre op diet today. I'm not going to lie, I am struggling. I have two protein shakes, 3oz of lean meat and unlimited clear liquids. This is going to be a long two weeks but I know it'll be worth it. I would've caved in by now but i see my light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm on June 17. I had no pre-op diet. Just no eating after midnight the night before. It's all so real now! Good luck to all having their surgeries this week!!

Congrats on your big day!

How is everyone feeling today? I actually feel pretty good. I'm tired but the pain isn't to bad. Sip sip sip but I want to guzzle my mouth is so dry. Every time I take a drink of water it feels like my stomach is growling. They said I was doing good with the water so they let me have broth last night. And who else has green peee in... I know.... Gross....

Hope everyone else is doing well today!

Good morning! Congrats fellow 6/15 sleepers!

Day 2 and I feel so good! My surgery was yesterday at about 11. I started walking in the evening, then was awake at 3 and walked 10 laps (3/4 of a mile) and another 14 laps at 6:30 (a full mile!). I kept reading and hearing that walking would help with the gas, so I was determined to minimize it- So far so good! I just started on some food- they brought me jello, tea and broth. Ok so far...taking it slow.

Thank you to all who post on here...I've picked up so much sound advice, encouragement and great info. It is so appreciated!

Here's to a new healthy, fit body!

I just got home from the hospital a little while ago. Feeling pretty good. I woke up from surgery pretty nauseated and out of it, but once I got up to my room, I was doing better. Got to have ice chips last night, then water, broth, jello today. I was up and down a lot last night to pee. I have burped a lot as well. I walked the halls some yesterday, and more this morning. Hope my other June 15th sleeve buddies are doing well, too!
