So now that I'm in the third phase of the program post-op, I had my first solid food. It was an egg. Not a whole egg, just the yolk because that was all I could get down. Before I felt it. The feeling....of stuffed! Like Thanksgiving with turkey, chicken, roast beef, corn on the cob, corn bread, greens, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, apple pie, you get the gist. I was full!!!! One egg yolk. So, next time I eat something solid, I need to take it even slower. I feel like I need a nap. That's how full really feels now that I've started solids.

I kind of miss the Protein shakes now. :)

Crazy, isn't it? Takes some getting used to. 8 months out and sometimes I still forget how little I can eat.

And now....dumping.

What a roller coaster getting to know the sleeve. So I had Soup with a piece of fish that was half the size of my pinky finger. 30 minutes later I had to go, bad. Made it home and had to vomit and number 2. Gross.

What a day.

I'm 5 months post op and my sleeve hates most solid foods. Thank goodness I love Soup. I miss eggs. I can eat about 2 tsp and I'm done. Sometimes 1 Breakfast sausage link. This journey is tough, but well worth it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
