I haven't been posting meals - I've been working on our house building process, tracking down subcontractors, and helping my two kids complete their social studies projects ("Foods Around The World") and science fair projects (one on the intestinal system of pigs, the other on electricity - we're building a potato battery) for our homeschool co-op.

But a few days before my last fill I found a new favorite Breakfast - poached egg on top of half and ounce of cheese melted on one of the Morninstar veggie sausage patties. I tried cooking the patties a couple different ways, but ultimately I liked the microwaved patties best. MW on a plate 30 sec on once side, flip and MW 30 sec on the other side, put cheese on and MW 15 sec - let sit while the cheese fully melts, and put the poached egg on top. Yum - we'll see if I can tolerate it tomorrow when I'm off post-fill liquids.< /p>

Hope it works for you!

Ooh, and I forgot to update my ticker and signature - check it out :-) I don't talk about my actual weight often, but this last month's loss brought me below 300 for the first time in six years! Hurray!

I'll be back posting meals tomorrow - keeps me on track!

Alyson that is GREAT!...Thanks so much for the MS trick - I'd love to add them to diet for all the reasons Berg mentioned - but can't get them from coming to a hockey puck....:smile2:

This thread holds me accountable to the food - I do the same on the exercise threads...If I write it I eat it / I do it....))

Happy Twoterville??? that the name??

Hi everyone! I am going to do a "detox" for a few days. It's really not a detox per say, but I'm doing this to get past my severe sugar cravings. I am going to have low carb Protein Shakes and Water. So far today I have had one Protein Shake and 2 bottles of water. I will have one more Protein shake for dinner, another bottle of water or two, and possibly a cup of chai tea before I go to bed.

B: about 3/4 of a poached egg on a morningstar sausage patty with 1/2 oz cheese

L: about 3/4 of a sandwich = mountain bread, .5T light mayo, 1/2 c spinach, 1 oz deli meat, 1 oz crumbled bacon, 1/2 oz feta

D: 1/4c oikos greek yogurt plus 1/4c fiberone plus 1tsp honey

S: special K iced tea

Definitely more restriction with this fill - I'll start working in more vegetables and fruit tomorrow. Woo hoo - 50 lb down today!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
