I read with interest all of the different foods that everyone is eating. Banded in December 2007 I am still unable to "eat" many foods. eggs, chicken, any beef, Pasta, veggies (even mashed) potatotes. Really hard time with any kind of fruit. Fish !!! If I get it down it doesn't stay down. Sometimes hard cheeses are okay provolone but not swiss. Chicken cutlets definitly not-pizza I wouldn't even try. So basically even though I am down 47 lbs. I would have to say that I am still in a mushie state of minds.

Any suggestions?

All indications sound as if your too tight - but hard to say if that's been your "norm" since the beginning. I was a tad too tight after the last fill for about 10 days, then things went back to normal where I can eat all the foods you describe as a problem. I would give your Dr a call and tell him your still stuck in Mushy Mode, from what I've read & my own Dr's advise - it's not best to eat that way. 3 solid high Protein meals - if your having a problem with that, then a slight unfill might be needed.

47lbs...Great loss!!

This sounds boring, but for some reason, yesterday I just thought it was the best thing ever.

For lunch I had tuna salad with avacado slices and a few cashews on top....it was so good.

And one night last week, I roasted a standing rib roast. :faint:

I see a lot of people eat tuna...I just hate tuna. Maybe chicken in a can will be a good subsitute?

Yes, it works well as a substitute. I like both but I need a change once in a while and go with the chicken salad make from canned chicken. Just remember, that one can will make quite a bit! Try it and let me know how you like it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
