My longest stall was a month long at 8 months out. Even though I didn't lose any lbs, I did see a lot of changes in inches and tightening up all over. It's all good. I'll take it! Then I began to drop again. Slowly though. I'm only 12 lbs away from my goal weight, so I'll have to work a bit harder to get the remainder off. :)

6 weeks at 6 months out. This is probably your first (The Dreaded Three Week Stall that most get) and it won't be your last. Just keep getting your protien, fluids, stay low carb and move a little and it will pass.

Stalls still suck, though :P

Welcome to the dreaded 3 week stall. Search this and other forums. It is perfectly normal, although it sucks. My longest stall thus far was a month between months 5-6.

I am dreading this long stall at 5-6 months! How long did you have it? It's been a good 6 to 8 weeks for me. However it is starting to move south again !

Hi OP, I'm feeling really frustrated too, not helped now that the consultant is breathing down my neck with his average chart and expectations.

I was sleeved first week last February and weighed 302 lbs after surgery (went in at 3100. I lost about 4 lbs in the first week (probably fluids) and then nothing, yes nothing, for another 3 weeks. And you all know how much you can eat at that stage, tiny amounts of Soup and stuff, a single croyuton felt like a rock. I worked out that I had lost more weight on the pre-op liver shrinking diet.

Got over that stall, just started getting used to compliments and shrinking inside my clothes then bam, about 3 weeks ago I halted at 121kg and never moved since. Daily calories hover around 1000. If I eat less I feel unwell.

I knew the sleeve would be a slower/lower weight loss than the bypass, but not this slow

@sjuarez

I was one month out, it lasted until I was almost 3 months. Then I lost one pound. I have been averaging about 3 - 4 pounds a month since. Although I have dropped 6 pounds this month. yay me.

Funny, I literally signed on to research this exact question because I am beyond frustrated! I have been in a stall for about 2 months now ( I've lost 4 lbs in the last TWO months). I stalled at 6months post op.

Oh well, like everyone says, just keep working the program. Hopefully I will start losing again. The strange thing is, I did go down a dress size, despite the fact I've had minimal loss.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
