I am a slow loser! I am 5 weeks out tomorrow and I have lost 25 pounds since surgery. I started at 270 (I am 5'11"). I had my one month dr appointment today and they said I was doing great. I feel so much better! Amazing what a difference 25 ponds makes!

It does makes SUCH a difference! I can tell my body is changing just in the little thing. When I walk my arms and hips don't collide like they used to! It's really nice!

So I had my surgery on the 6th was supposed to go home by today but they want me to stay another day because I have not been getting enough fluids. 1-2 oz per hour. They want me to drink 5-6 oz per hour. That seems like a lot. ????

I miss my babies at home. Other than that everything else is okay. Trying to pass this gas which doesn't seem to want to come out. I burp a few times though but that's it.

@@mmrennau, that does seen like a lot. My "goal" was 4 ounces, but I just had to make sure Protein did not make me nauseous before I was released. Sounds like everything else went well for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
