Hello all! I had my gastric sleeve surgery on May 1st and the first 2 days i didn't had any gas whatsoever even the surgeon was surprise but then as soon as i left the hospital and got home i started getting this horrible gas pain in my stomach and chest. It has been 2 days now and i still have them. Does anyone know how long they last to leave the body or what can i do to help it goes away faster? If it wasn't because of the gas i would be perfectly fine.. Help...

I've heard you have to "walk" off the gas. Luckily I didn't have that issue.

I actually still have the gas in my stomach and throat five months out. I was advised by another

sleever on this website to get prilosec. I was using Zantac and it didn't work but when I bought

the prilosec I finally got some relief. I use the generic as well and it works great. When I go to

my PCP I am going to get a prescription so the ins can pay for it. It is expensive but well worth

the money. Hope you feel better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
