had my sleeve on april 23rd 2015. surgery went fine and i was up and walking later on the same evening of the surgery. had a little gas issues but nothing major. went home the next day after surgery stayed focused on the Clear Liquids. 2 days post op, i went to the gym and walked a mile before running of of energy. then the next day, i was able to go 2 miles, and my energy level is slowly coming back. im sure it will take time to regain all my strength but im actually shocked at how great i feel so far! looking forward to the next few weeks of my journey!

WOW 2 Miles! Walking is encouraged and needed but man, don't push it! You have wounds inside that needs to close!

You will LOVE how you feel in the coming weeks! There are times when you feel a little disappointed that you can't have something, but the weight loss and the all day energy, without crashes is worth it.

What was hard for me was about 2 weeks out when I felt great and its easy to forget you had the surgery and you want to eat the things you had been... but intellectually, you know you can't.

I'm 48 days and learning a whole new way of eating and its a lot better food than I thought!

Take it easy!

That's amazing I didn't have the energy to do that!

i guess the reason i feel well enough, or have the strength to do my walking is contributed to the fact that i was walking 3-5 miles a day leading up to surgery. i had lost almost 40 lbs from walking/working out but couldnt keep the weight off. i was successful losing on several diets with exercise, but always put it right back on.. i feel great so i push on. if i feel any reason to not walk, i wont, but feel like if i have the energy to why not...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
