Feeling full with only 2-3 bites

Recommended Posts

I am currently on puréed since I am 2.5 weeks post op. With only 2-3 small bites I am full with the sensation in the back of my throat. Does this sensation ever get better so you are able to eat a little more without feeling nauseated

It should. It may take some time, and everyone reaches that point on their own time. Be THRILLED for this, it is awesome! This is why we did it. For the nausea, try eating very slowly, and CHEW. Even if it is baby food. Chew it as fine as possible. Drink tepid fluids instead of cold. Especially in the morning when your new tummy is waking up. Always introduce the tummy to food with very soft food for the first few bites, until you are over the nausea. It really helps. Welcome to your new life! Good luck to you!

@@mh97686 yes it will get easier to eat more and then you'll be wishing you were back here. Enjoy it! ;) Kinda like a little kid who wishes he was a grown up and then when he's grown up he wondered why ever wished that. Same thing. Enjoy your journey every single day.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
