I start my pre-op diet today. Technically I am suppose to start it tomorrow. I prepped a thermos of broth to bring to work with me, I have premier Protein shakes, sugar free Jello and Crystal Light. I can and will do this! Surgery is next week. I can't believe that it is finally here.

I'm afraid that I am going to turn into an emotional mess and scared for the people around me! LOL. Every statement I make will come with a disclaimer, I am on a liquid diet this week so this may hurt, ........! Hopefully I won't be that bad but who knows.

I think after the first day or two on the liquid/pre-op diet you will be fine. I think those first couple of days are pretty mentally/physically challenging but then you kind of get used to it. Good luck. Being prepared is the most important thing. And you can always pretend to chew with sugar free jello! Haha.

It was definitely worse for me the first few days, but the whole thing was really NOT fun. I eventually had to stop exercising in the second week, because I was just so weak and had NO energy. Just hang in there. It's only temporary!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
