Would anyone happen to know of anyone who was approved by Anthem Blue Cross California that didn't have to wait 6 months on a medically supervised diet?

@@BariatricGirl I have a PPO through Anthem Blue Cross and I was approved a few weeks after my first consultation with my surgeon. They did not require me to do a 6 month supervised diet. I was actually surprised when my surgeon told me that I did not have do to the 6 month thing because everyone who has reviewed my insurance coverage has said that I have a VERY strange plan!

Thank you so much for the information. There's someone that is seriously in need of surgery right now and I'm just wondering if anyone knew of a way around the supervised diet.

I had to do 3 months of supervised weight loss. The length of time wasn't specified in my policy and my surgeon's office wanted to put me on 6 mos of med. supervised wl. I was rather upset by the delay and they then decided they would try 3 mos and submit to insurance and see if it would be approved. It was. I was delighted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
