C-section numbness- results from WLS?

Recommended Posts

For all of those who had a C-section prior to WLS, I'm curious to know how the results of weight loss is in the lower abdomen.

My nerves from belly button to public bone are pretty much destroyed so it's completely numb. I'm wondering what kind of impact, if any, that will have on losing weight in that area.

You shouldn't have any interference from the nerve damage on your weight loss, one doesn't have anything to do with the other. I have many scars, thus nerve damage (resulting in no sensation) in my abdominal area, but it hasn't affected the weight loss at all. The weight, for me, is coming off equally all around my body, no one specific area. I think of the nerve damage kinda as a bonus....strange as that may sound, but for the most part I don't feel any pain AT ALL for other surgeries. Yeah, I can't feel my cat high-karate-ing my gut, and hot things must be carefully watched, but through all my surgeries this has been a God-send!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
