Hi I'm new here. I was sleeved 3/25 so I'm 3 days post op. Just wondering if others had stomach pain or a contracting feeling after drinking fluids. started on full liquids today, more pain. Hoping this is normal.

I had my surgery on 3/24 and I don't have much problem with stomach pain...unless ur talking about the soreness from the incisions and yes, I still have that and it is awful. I am miserable trying to get up and down out a chair, in and out of bed, or when I cough. I will be so glad when that part is over! As far as the pain after drinking fluids, I definitely have that which is frustrating and makes it difficult to get in all of my liquids. It may sound strange, but today I actually figured out a way to drink without as much pain. I have to lean my head back and drink when I take my meds and realized that if I lean my head back in the same way when sipping on fluids, it really seems to help. It probably looks kinda strange but it's better than that pain!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
