As of today, tuna or Mayonnaise. Five weeks postop, this was the first time I have eaten something and was afraid I was going to lose it.

Any others?

I just don't get this. I'm still in the purée phase, so I'm just getting reacquainted with real (baby) food. I neglected to ask Doc or Nut why this change in agreeable foods. Why does this happen after being sleeved? Does is seem to happen to everyone?

@@LisaPunkinHead Maybe some "softer" foods would be best. Yogurt, soft scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, mashed banana, mashed potatoes, etc. And don't eat more that 1/4 cup of anything. That's what I was told anyway.

Thanks, @@TammyDTM! I have been tolerating other foods well and am past pureed foods for the most part (although I still eat scrambled eggs and yogurt!). It was just one of those weird things that for some reason my wonderful new stomach didn't like my lunch -- all 2 ounces of it!

@blacktee not everyone has problems with food at the same time. I am about 3 1/2 months out and hadn't had anything make me sick until last week and it was something I had eaten before. That is why people use the name Frankensleeve to describe their new stomachs. Sometimes they just aren't happy and there is just no good reason. Good luck as you move on. Just remember to go slow.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
