My advice is don't over think it. It's really not that big of a deal. Dinners are super easy. A soft scrambled egg with cheese, yogurt, or a Cereal like oatmeal or grits. Buffets/salad bars - again super easy. Just get what you can eat. Don't worry about what other people will think. That's a mind game that you really don't need. Sit down restaurant just order a Protein and get a doggy bag.

I eat out just as much as I used to before surgery and have since around 4 -6 weeks post-op. I just have more doggy bags. Keep in mind you are going to hang with friends.

I'm about 6 weeks post op from the lap band. I'm learning not to over think it when going out with friends. Everyone's suggestions I've done, from trying new foods at home to checking our menus at home to getting doggie bags. This is a learning curve for everyone. What works for one person might not work for you. We all have to figure out what works best for us. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
