Thanks, so I guess it's nothing to worry about then. I just wasn't sure I was getting an acurate number for calories burned. Thanks for the replies girls!

I have had my bugg for a week- I have lost 3 lbs-which is more than I have lost in 2 months! my question is how did YOU decide what goal to use? My dr only wants us to eat 800 calories- I upped the calorie goal to a 1000-there is no way I can do 800- just curious how you made your goal and if you want to share what your averages are for weight loss since getting the bugg.Thanks.

Hey! I got my Bugg. I wore it today for the first time. I have a few of questions.

1. Does that band drive you up the wall (it really bothered my inner arm) only at first or is it a constant issue?

2. Do you wear the Bugg when you sleep?

3. Do you log your food on the Bugg site? I've been using Dailyplate and really am addicted to it. I tried just transferring the total calories over from DP and it didn't carry over to the Bugg site properly. I'm going to try and tweak it tomorrow and see if I can fix it...

4. How often do you upload your data?

It was over 100 degrees today and my asthma started to act up (I actually had to dig out my inhaler). So, today I just kind of blew off any kind of 'real' activity and just ran errands. Even still, it logged:

1765 cal burned

1165 cal consumed (I had a cookie...)

600 cal deficit

Woo hoo!!

Hell, I'm *really* looking forward to what it will calculate when I'm not eating Cookies and actually moving more than I did today :P

I don't wear my bugg to bed, I use that time to give my arm a break, I upload my information twice a day right before I workout and right before I go to bed to make sure I reached my goal if not back to the treadmill

Hello everyone. How is everyone doing with their bugg?

As for me. I've been having an average daily deficit of 4600 calories and have only lost 1-2 pounds in the past two weeks. This week will be even larger since I just had a fill this past Thursday. What do you suspect it could be? My intake is an average of 1600 these past two weeks, but this week it's about 1000 because of the fill.

Thanks in advance for the insight.

That's crazy. Are you in your week window for that lovely time of the month? Two days before mine, I gained like 4 pounds. I knew it was that. Is your sodium intake kinda high? Are you perhaps gaining more muscle, since you are obviously moving around more(exercising). Someone on this thread said that it is so easy to under report. The product may say xyz calories for a certain portion. But who is to say that portion is correct unless we physically weigh it. There are so many variables. I wouldn't worry to much, after all it has us moving more than we used to.

I know you want more. But a loss is a loss and that is something to be quite proud of.

WOW! A daily deficit of 4600 calories. That is amazing. Your body might be in starvation mode if you are burning that many calories. You may need to increase your calories to really lose. I had to do that in the beginning because I was not losing. I now know I have to eat 1200 - 1300 calories a day and sometimes more when I work out. I know that will be hard after a fill. I'm sure the weight you really start to drop soon.

What are you doing to burn 6200 calories a day? That is super impressive.

I set mine at 1100 calories (which I never reach) I usually 800-1000 calories a day. If I do below 800 or above 1000, I just don't lose eigher way. I set my weight loss at 1.25 lbs per week. Which I always go over. I din't want to set it too high and disappointed. You can do whatever you want for goals.

I think it may a starvation mode thing too. Dare I say, try to lower your deficit buy burning fewer calories instead of eating more. Just my idea! Most importantly don't get discouraged. You're doing great! I'm sure your body will see that everythings okay and will decide to release the weight. You'll probably drop 4-6 lbs in one week!:frown:

Hey everyone. Still the same thing happend last week. I actually gained 3 pounds. As far as the calories burned, I cant help it. This is without actually trying to work out. This is just based on movement I do while at work or throughout the day. I'm scared to go to the gym at this point. I was thinking I would start on a high Protein low carb diet, maybe that will increase my calories some.

What do you think?

I am wondering if you have something wrong with your Bugg. If you have a 4600 deficit for the day and you are consuming 1600 calories, then you are burning a total of 6200 a day. - I think? (Now, I am horrible at math, but here goes).

  • Sleep 8 hours with an average burn of 1.2 Calories while you sleep. Would be roughly 72 Calories burned per hour of sleep each night. Assuming you sleep 8 hours, then you would burn 576 calories each night.
  • 16 Hours left in the day. 6200 Calories - 576 Calories means you are burning 5624 Calories in your waking time. Break that down per minute and you are burning 5.8 Calories per minute during every single minute that you are awake.

I personally have to work out HARD at the gym to burn that much for just an hour. Maybe your Bugg is malfunctioning? Or you could be a Calorie Burning Machine! Either way I would love to know the results. You should contact BB Support and see what they say.

Hi All, I havent been faithful in logging or wearing the bugg lately. But when I do wear it, my numbers are still higher then they used to be, but not as high as 6000 calories per day. I have been making it a point to wear in on Sunday's when I'm not nearly as active as during the week and the numbers show. So I dont think there's anything wrong with it. I haven't weighed myself in a long while, trying to stay off the scale. I will weigh this weekend and let you know what it says.

You are so freakin lucky! You are like a calorie burning machine! My hubby is like that, he is not overweight at all, medically retired, so does no exercise, not much activity at all, eats about 3500 calories a day. (an entire pkg of Oreos last night) and never gains an ounce. I eat 1200 calories a day, go to the gym EVERY day and lose less than a lb a week. Stinkin metabolism!

I am looking into the bodybugg since I work out quite a bit and I would like to see where it is I am actually burning calories at.

Is anyone aware of another type computer that does the same thing so I can compare them?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
