Of course!!! I called it my last supper lol...however, I'm 3 days into low carb diet and I'm doing well a little tired of vegetables but loving the meat. Next Thursday I start full liquid with surgery sch for March 26th. I can't wait!!!

I'm doing some "food funerals" now to begin preparing myself. I'm saying goodbye to foods that I really should not and probably won't be able to eat after surgery. :)

Yup, count me in on that one!

It's taken me a few weeks, but I have started to come to terms with what the future holds and I'm ready to get started with eating healthily even if the liquid diet is still a few weeks away. I think I needed to say goodbye.

Same here!! Said goodbye to soda and anything high in sugar and carbs...going sugar free where possible. I'm finishing up low carb today starting liquids tomorrow..wish me luck????

I really didn't have a food funeral. My problem is Diet Coke. I stopped that the day before surgery. I just found 6 cans of soda I had forgotten about. They are still where I put them.

They are there for company, not me.

I will give you some advice. Before the pre-op started I said I'll have to hit all my favorite spots and have my farewells. Well that said and done I really wish I hadn't. It made me miserable the first week. When you make a sudden drop in calories going from 2,000+ and go to say 600-800. It really shocked my system. Day two I had the worst headache. Spent a good amount of time face down in the bathroom. Then from there felt very weak and like I had low blood sugar. I tested my levels and they weren't. If I could do it again I'd reign myself in and try to ween myself off progressively slower. Just a forewarning for all of you thinking of making it your last hurrah.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
