Blender Recommendations

Recommended Posts

I have a $50 Oster fusion from Walmart blender that works great! I have had it for over 5 years and use it regularly to make all manner of smoothie. It used to also be my margarita maker. The main thing to look for is where the base and the pitcher meet and turn- those parts need to be metal and not plastic! Having metal teeth and grooves keep it from stripping out when trying to blend hard or thick things.

I have a Blendtec. It's on the expensive side but I love how it can take fresh veggies and turn it into juice.

Those ARE pricey, but I LOVE their "Will it blend?" videos!

I use a BlendTec I got at costco (approx $300) and it works wonders. Fresh, frozen, skins on or off, nuts, seeds.. anything.. I love it!

I had a Cuisinart and it was okay. Then my food processor went out and while searching for a new one, came across the Ninja 2 in 1 and bought it. I almost immediately got rid of my Cuisinart because while I had previously thought it was okay, after trying the Ninja once I realized that I never knew what I was missing! Love my Ninja.

I have used a Ninja blender with a single serving unit for 2 years now and making smoothies. I am very pleased with it. I bought my mom a Bullet but found it more difficult to use.

I purchased a ninja blender pre-op but have found in the last 11 months post op I have hardly used a blender at all and just used one of those shake bottles. The blender made the shakes too frothy and adding ice was a big no no as it added air and made too much to consume. I haven't used it in awhile and was thinking about drinking Protein Shakes again. Never drank traditional "smoothies" with fruit as they are loaded with carbs, sugar and calories. What are you guys making? I found a vegetable smoothie online I wanted to try but would love to hear about some favorites!

We have a Vitamix which we love, but after surgery my hubby purchased the Nutri Bullet. I love it. Especially for the Protein shakes, I throw everything in there and just take it with me. Its small, quieter and very easy to clean. I am 5 weeks post op and I find being on the pureed food stage that I just throw everything in there to puree it down. I even had chicken pho and pureed it. delish!! it is very easy to open a can of Soup and throw it in there and mix it up and bam, dinner is done. I need to get a little more creative and make my own soups!

Vitamin -"there is no substitute". (Ok, some folk may not get the movie reference)

I have a mini Ninja that my daughter bought me for my birthday and it is wonderful. I have been making smoothies and stuff in it as I prepare for surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
